I have rediscovered my love for indigo dying over the last few years and just love everything about this amazing process. The colour, technique and unpredictable nature of this craft is always a joy to work with. I have also hugely enjoyed sharing this art with others through workshops and creative gatherings. Meeting like minded people and teaching this craft has also become an inspiration in itself.
Shibori is the art of folding, binding, clamping and knotting to compress fabric to create a resist. In a 3 hour workshop you will learn how to prepare a dye vat and some basic Itajame and Arashi Shibori techniques. You will experiment on test pieces and then create a finished silk/cotton scarf or linen table runner to take home. Shibori has no failures, only success!
